I have never really breed chickens so bear with me here. I have a Gold Laced Wyandotte pullet and I got her a Gold Laced Cochin cockrel to breed with when they come of age. Is this a good idea or should I get her a Gold Laced Wyandotte Roo? I dont want too many roos running around for fear of aggression (having 2 young children that are very much involved in chicken life and towards one another ). So far i have 2 very docile roosters out there an Easter Egger and a Plymouth Rock that hasnt yet come of age but seems to be very tame and freindly (no signs of aggression thus far). But if this pairing is acceptable I would like to get him a few more girls. Maybe a Blue Laced Red either Wyandotte or Cochin and a Silver Laced Wyandotte. Any input is appreciated.
