After yesterday's lambing excitement we have been on alert. We have been checking all day. Nothing.

It is FREEZING cold here today. It is colder now than it was earlier.

Wouldn't you know it. A baby was born out there inbetween our last check and feeding up for the night. We think she may be trying to have another one. I saw her bag break trying to get her in the barn so we'll see.

Here's our today's lamb. The first of our border leicesters to give birth.

It's a ram lamb.

We'll eat well next fall and winter. That's for sure.

Aw! Sweet face. How many pounds of meat will you get out of an average ram at butcher time?

What a neat/busy time of year. I love your pictures an updates of all the doin's on Miss Prissy's Place. Please keep it up!

I was lying in bed the other night next to my husband saying "I'm tired of waiting. I want to get the goats now. I'm tired of waiting for my dream." He just cracked up. I guess he was thinking goats are an unusual dream for a wife to have.

A border leicester. Isnt that what Babe's friend Ma was?

Okay okay so Babe was one of my favorite movies. So shoot me.

It's a buck year (ram year, haha) everywhere...whew! It's not just me!

Too cute, again! Hope there are no complications if there was another in there...

PS how is your little Nigi girl??

She is hanging out like she is on the playground. Jumping on everything and being a silly goat.

3 ram lambs. Like I said, we'll eat well.
