Ever since a few of my hens started laying, I've been checking on them from the coop side instead of the run side in the mornings.
They have figured out that when I visit from the coop side they are tall enough for significantly higher quality pets than when I visit from ground level.
This has turned into a minimum of a 10-minute belly rubbing session every morning. I think they learned this from my dog.
