We have two Orp Roos one looks more mature and prettier than the other one. He is really good at crowing while the less mature one is awful at it. They are from the same brood and are 6 months old. Anyone have any ideas???

If it's an option I'd wait until they're more mature and select the one that has the better personality. I'd hate to give one the axe for being a late bloomer just to find out that the other one turned into satan when he matured more. In general opingtons are one of the better behaved males, but there are always exceptions. Just a thought...

If you need to get rid of one now, then my idea doesn't work. Go with whichever one suits you best right now and hopefully it turns out great. If I were in your situation I'd start by picking the one that avoids you. If neither of them stand out in this regard, then go with the pretty one.

My buff Orpington roo Cheerio is almost a year old now but still crows like a little cockerel. Our next door neighbors have a rather aggressive rooster named Dale, and he’s only a month older than Cheerio, but he has a loud, deep crow and is a bit bigger. Though one day the two flocks crossed paths and the roosters got into a fight, and Cheerio scared Dale away 😂 Never underestimate the power of the smaller roo!
Buff Orpington roosters are pretty docile and kind compared to most other breeds, so whichever one you choose to keep won’t matter much. Good luck :)

He'll get there eventually. I got 3 this year. Two crow and mate and look all grown up....while their brother just mates and is tall lol. He looks so awkward, at 10 months old I'm seriously waiting for his crows
