more ? on temp

Both time s i had my incubator running after 1 1/2 days the temp spiked in the water wiggler
Any Ideas why?

how long should I have incubator running before I put eggs in?

Dont adjust the temp when you put eggs in. The eggs will cool down the incubator, but after about a day the eggs willbe warmed up to the temp in the bator. If you adjust the temp when you put the eggs in when it finnaly levels out, the temp will be higher than set at to start with.
