More Taxes

Remember will not raise taxes on people making under 100,000. Well that didnt last long, 64 cent a pack on Tobacco. WHAT PEOPLE making under 100,000 dont smoke.

Guess they dont need to drive either, talk about taxing solf drinks now. Yep, they are going to taxes my Gin more also.


TAX AND SPEND THE NEW WAY.

Give me 13.00 a week in a tax break, and raise tax on most thing we buy, WHAT A JOKE.

They must think we are dumb.

Ahh yes the sin taxes. I heard they'll only be raising taxes on soft drinks if they aren't diet....diet ones wont be taxed.

Time to start ya a tobacco patch, that's what I'm planning on doing... and if they raise taxes on alchohol I'll be planting corn, barley and hops as well.

I quit smoking last year, and I dont drink alchohol. But this gets under my skin SOOOOOOO bad.

Regardless of wether you smoke or drink, its not right to tax something lawmakers call a "sin" at a higher rate than anything else. Im just gonna keep my mouth shut on here

It's just going to open up a demand for the black market. My hubby quit a couple of years ago when they got up to over 4 bucks a pack. When they first started taxing smokes they did it under the guise of "the money will go to educating and health costs of those affected by smoking". Well I guess they did come through on the education part of it. Kids get taught that cigarettes are a drug that will kill them in the 1st grade and come home crying hysterically saying stuff like "my aunt is using drugs and she's gonna die".

I'm glad that I don't smoke or drink, but I still think it's cruddy to see new taxes slapped on people like this. I also have a bad notion that the new taxes will not stop there.

I don't know how anyone affords to smoke at 7 bucks a pack.

WE have a nice interesting tax in Ohio. It is called bedding enviromental tax. I ordered a bedding set for 49$ or so on the Walmart side to store thingy.When i looked at the whole order review in the end they charged ths tax> It was only 4 cents but whats next ? Gas Emission tax for stinky sneakers?

I stopped drinking soda last week. Now I drink tea!

Just wait until he gets his"carbon tax" put into effect and the electric bills go sky high. Nope .... nothing good to say here either. So I will be quiet.
