More than one flock - anyone else have a multi roomed coop?

NJFarmer,we have a pretty good pitch on the roof. Its 6'6" in the front, and 5'6" in the back. Plus, we put extra supports in between the "rafters". Havent gone through a snow yet...I will let ya know when we do tho!

Rchicks, what do you mean 'triple layer breeds'. We have thought of doing stacked coops but it seems to me that cleaning might be harder! We looked at the white corrugated roofing but are concerned about the heat as we just had an atrocious summer with over a month of temps above 100 and some quite abit above that!!! Not sure what we will do but probably go for something a bit more insulating.

Jeanne’s
Bantam Coop (the link up top)what a GREAT idea!!!

DH said I need to wait till the spring warmer weather!
I have everything sketched out to split my coop in 1/2 for my standard size chickens! To make it easy to clean I have planned on coming out 3 to 4 ft from wall (all around my 12x12 shed) make a roost pit with sand in & wire over (clean with screen)
also plan to have slightly tilted nest box for the roll away eggs! (I have designed what I think will work but, if anyone knows of plans for this box please let me know)

Hey Deb, those coop pics look great, but that worker in the pictures.... the one with the staw / brown hat... looks like he's sleeping on the job. See the way he's just hangin' out, leaning against the cool. What a lazy bum! You should fire him.
