More TSC. Banties

I purchase 7 assorted banties from TSC and i’ve been googling and staring at so many chick images my eyes are crossing.

I’m guessing the light ones may be a Black Tail White Japanese and a Buff Cochin Bantam. The other two (of which I have 5) are all feather shanked. No beard, but very auburn with chipmunk markings.

Buffs are usually almost white in color.

Here’s an update.

The Cochin guesses seem to be spot on, but little Flappy, as he’s known, is not feathering out like a Black Tailed White Japanese. Here’s some updated images of him. ~2+ Weeks

Agree on the Cochins but, have no idea what Flappy is. at 6-8 weeks it sure be clear.

I went back to double check, and Flappy IS bigger than the other chicks.

That’s Flappy at the back of the group with his head sticking up.


And Flappy next to one of the Partridge Bantu Cochins.

My guess is that he is one of the Wheaten cubalaya that Cackle hatchery offers. Or, TSC may have placed him in the bantam bin when he is actually a smaller standard breed, which has happened more than once on this forum
