I really enjoy morels!!!!!!!! They are the BEST mushrooms ever...I also like Bluets! Sadly I have not found any recently but can't wait!

Of all the years I've live out here in the Temperate Rainforest, filled with mushrooms. . . I have yet to see such a beauty as the Morel.

Well there hear in Indiana

Went out last night after school and work and within 15 minutes of looking found a small grey about 1 1/2 inches. We stopped looking and headed home. After these little ones are gone the big ones will be popping up and when I mean big some are 6"+


They pheasants backs or dryads saddle is starting. About the size of a half dollar coin and a little bigger. Get the butter and the skillet

I knew grays would be out this week! Supposed to warm up now, I'll start hunting this weekend.

I looked earlier in the week and found nothing. I'm going to try to head out today and see if I can find any.

Our friend said he found six morels already so I went looking. All I found was one beginning to pop out so I left it until tomorrow.

We really need a light spring rain to get those beauties to pop out. The last two have gone around us.

I checked where the "chicken of the woods" grew last year and it's not out of the wood yet.

I looked when it was warmer here in souther indiana, but it's just not humid enough.
I can't wait for them though!!!

We went to Camp Atterbury today and found 2 yellow morels about 2 inches. I know were I'm sitting for turkey season though
