I'll share photos a bit later today I sent the 4 boys on to new homes and kept the two ladies, who finally seem to be nearing point of lay. Hopefully I'll see eggs soon!
So, I wound up with 4 boys and 2 girls. After much deliberation, I decided to sell all the boys and keep the two girls for my primary flock. Here are some photos from over the last few months.
Do yours have the blue skin color? I am interested in some mosaics but haven’t found anyone that has grown out GFF chicks that actually have the turquoise ears and blue skin that Brain has mandated the breed he created has.
And I’m on the rare breeds FB page so a lot chicks and grow outs do come up for sale.
I didn't keep any of the Mosaic roosters. Decided it was going to be too much trouble and I wasn't committed to the breed since it's so new.
Both of my girls do have the turquoise lobes. Pixel, the darker hen, actually went broody so I don't have a good pic of her lobes, but clearly, Dot's are nice
Beautiful birds. Just bought a dozen eggs, we will see if I can hatch any. Very nervous of course with any high value hatching egg purchase, but I guess it's better than paying high value chick purchase since they can die and you've still spent ungodly amounts on one collection of birds.
