Mosquito Pond help!

Help!! The mosquitos are out of control with my duck enclosure. I’ve planted lemongrass plants sprinkled cinnamon and have mint in there but nothing is working! What do y’all use? I literally came out with 30 bites today after cleaning the run!

Also, monitoring managing mosquito hatch environment may need looking into for a few months out. Raise muddy areas (course sand or ?limestone cover with shavings/straw or grow grass) and provide drainage. When possible don't allow water to sit for more than 36hrs. If any body of water is long term, such as barrels or pools, put in some gambusia mosquito minnows. They can live under ice, 95f degree water and can survive on the algae film that grows in stagnant water. If you have a permanent pond in the ground, you naturally already have some those small black minnows. They're easy to trap and transfer. They're pretty efficient at consuming mosquito larvae.

Permethrin isn't a silver bullet, but it is a bullet when fighting mosquitos. You do have to read up about using this insecticide and take precautions, yet you may find a limited application for the stuff.
