I was asking on here if bug zappers work... well, I’m here to say.. they do! We have trillions of mosquitoes here in south Louisiana! And my hens and parakeets were swarmed by them every night... I put these up and they have brought the mosquito population down by about 85%....

Wait... really? Is that just a regular old bug zapper? I thought it only worked on flies and moths, etc. .... do tell more. FLorida here - swamp in my yard means my poor birds are an all you can eat buffet.
From Home Depot... it would maybe get em all if I would use the mosquito bait that comes with...

I use a dynatrap! I love it!
Dump the guys in the run and chickens have a buffet (even the live ones in trap don't survive).
I have used it 4 yrs 24/7 from April to November.
Thinking about a 2nd one for front porch.
They are quiet-no zap, efficient.
Awesome
Where do you get these from... I’ll use both!

Just curious, what brand are those? I bought 4 of the smaller Hum Bug Zappers and hang one in my girls' favorite hangout spot under the hydrangea and in their house. I don't really see many mosquitoes getting zapped, but they just seem to disappear. Working bug free between 2 of them in my garden has been so nice sinc getting them. By next summer, I plan to have a dozen of them. There so lightweight, I'm in the habit of carrying one around with them anytime I'm in my yard. Best investment this year! (These particular ones have a usb cord with ac adapter.)
