Our chicks are in the backyard and enjoying their free range feasting! We already have so many mosquitos we can barely be outside with them! We want to do a mosquito spray or something to prevent them as much as possible, but are worried about it poising the yard for the chicks. Does anyone have any recommendations, or is this just something we have to come to terms with and layer up ourselves with repellent??!

I have crumbled up mosquito dunks with bt in them and sprinkled around the damp leaves and ditches where the mosquitoes breed. It seemed to work but it just kills the larvae I believe, so prevents the population you already have. Bt is safe for tadpoles, but I haven’t researched poultry.

Thank you! I’m going to look into this!
