Mosquitos buzzing my ears!!!

Well I haven't seen one tick this year but the mosquitos have been going crazy and I have bumpy legs to prove it :-( what can I use/spray befor I had the girls I used yard guard and other pest sprays but I'm scared to use then with the girls around any suggestions?!?!?!?!? MY LEGS WILL THANK YOU!!!

Avon's skin so soft has been used as a deterrant for bugs for a long time. The smell seems to keep them away. I don't think it would be harmful to the chickens.

I'm sure there are other fragrances of lotion or something that can be used to repel mosquitos similar to how citronella candles are used for that purpose.
