I was just wondering: what is the most expensive chicken breed?

definitely the coronation sussex. i had been watching a few ebay listings for 6 eggs each and each time they listed they ended up selling for over $200 FOR JUST 6 EGGS!!!!

The non -molting onagadori project birds sell pretty high too, $100 for a few eggs is very common
Also, depending if you class them as chickens or not, green and ceylon junglefowl sell at $600 per yearling pair as a starting price many are much higher..

I've seen Chocolate Orps eggs go for a rediculous price on EBAY in the UK auctions. Some go for near a $100 per egg. And that is an egg! Boy that would suck to have a Bator spike when those were in there going.
