Most Handsome Rooster Contest! *Prize* (Ends December 15)

Ok I am very new.. So let me know if I did this wrong. Name: Roo Roo Age: unknown ( Rescue) Breed: unknown :)
He's beautiful. From the angle I would say he is a crele orpington. If at the back of his crown it is a cluster it could be a crele penedesenca. Either way he is gorgeous!!!

Name: Cleatus
Breed: Welsummer
Age: 2.5yrs

RIP Cleatus. He was one bad mother trucker and died doing what he did best, protecting his ladies. He was rooster #6 for us and by far the best we've had. He was sweet to the girls, they never had any damage from mounting and he'd dance for them and talk so sweet. They all got to eat first while he patrolled, and he was the last to roost and the first one out of the coop. We even got to watch him fight a hawk off another hen and he always spotted them coming before we did and let everyone know. He was huge and beautiful, and good with us and gave us countless babies. I'm so thankful to have known him, and even more thankful I've got a couple of his sons growing up in the coop.

We aren't sure what got him but by the trail of feathers I'm guessing a cat since it was during the day. He fought hard by the looks of the tracks and was the only casualty. It breaks my heart to know he's gone but he did exactly what he was here to do.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your brave Cleatus. If is was a cat that got him, it was one big, bold cat.. like a Puma. Domestic cats would be unlikely to mess with such a big chicken. Unfortunately, I have frequently seen raccoons during the day around here, so that may be a possibility.
