Our broody hatched five chicks on March 28. Four survived and are now 5.5 weeks old - and they are all boys!!! Our friend was supposed to take them regardless of sex, and she is still willing to do it, but she had forgotten that we were hatching chicks for her and decided to incubate her own; they are scheduled to hatch this weekend. So, our babies are now neither here nor there in terms of age: too old to go into the brooder with our friend's new babies, and too young to be integrated into her adult flock. Plus, we've grown really fond of them and would prefer for them to become someone's pets rather than dinner. Any interest? We're in North Central Washington but willing to drive them elsewhere, within reason. They can go to separate homes as I don't expect anyone to want four little roosters!
The dad is a Buff Orpington. The moms are: a Buff Orpington, a Silver Cuckoo Marans, and either a Speckled Sussex or a Partridge Rock (possibly one of each). Pics of chicks below, pics of parents available if interested. Any questions, please ask!
