Mottled houdan, pullet or cockerel?

New to this breed. Mottled Houdan. Does this look like a pullet or cockerel? About 10 weeks old. Soooo friendly and GRUMPY looking, I love it! We thought it was a boy, but it seems a little too rounded, if they are similar to polish?

Ha! I'm in the same boat with the same exact breed with a chicken that looks exactly the same. When i research them, I find some that look like a mottled polish (hen) and then some that look much different but also claimed as a hen. So

The only other evidence I have is the Polish cockerel we hatched nearly on the same day that we brought this guy home is crowing, and tussling with some of the other cockerels in the bunch - but leaves this houdan alone.

I have never sexed these before but I’m thinking boy. Can you push the feathers in the spot I circled back because I am pretty sure I see a comb.

Houdans get the same sort of hairdo as Polish: Einstein vs Bouffant.

They also have a long, almost lanky frame

My roos (idiot dingalings that they were) kept after her. Wyandotte and rock with her (crest trimmed around eyes so she can see and the others don't attack her for being "blind" and endangering the flock)

Comb is iffy. Pink tone in face, maybe. Use same technique as with polish: it is wearing a pincushion or a cotton ball on its head?

Never sexed that comb type but I am going to guess pullet.

Still hard to tell. The top pic with 2 in it, the one in the background looks rooish with the Doc Brown (Back to the Future) hair. The one you're asking about...wait for those pins on the back of the head to open
