Is there such a silkie!! Anyone have pictures of a Mottled silkie!

How would one attempt to make a Mottled Silkie ?

OMG you had the same IDEA I just had when I posted this!!! Houdan!! if I could JUST find a houdan roo... I got a houdan hen anyway thats single and a silkie blue hen

I know it'd take years of breeding to make a blue mottle silkie but it is WORTH IT!!!

I think the darker base colour (black, dark partridge, reds) will give a better contrast....

I have a partridge roo here with a bit of white feathers on his wing cover.... which started the whole idea....

You would probably have the best luck crossing with a mottled cochin. A mottled houdan does have a crest and 5 toes, but the type and comb are way off, plus they don't have the foot feathering a cochin would.
