Round up is a weed killer right so round up ready means round up doesn't kill it round up ready corn is genetically modified to be resistant to round up. So when you harvest it (and spread some of its seed in your field in the process) then plant round up ready soy beans the corn becomes a weed.

I'm confused what soybeans have to do with it. And why is corn a weed now???

Farmers switch back and forth between crops cause beans put nitrogen in the soil and corn takes it away so they grow one one year and the other the next year corn became a weed when farmers couldn't get rid of it and it blocked out the light so the soy beans couldn't grow


(I'm guessing this will probably make you even more confused)
