Silkie, What breeds are you hatching?

My flock free ranges together so I have no idea what they'll be exactly. My signature tells what breeds I have. My sis has an EE which isn't listed. There are 12 Pekin duck eggs, 2 silkie, and 5 chicken

I should put shell back? Chicks been hatched for about 30 min (wow time flies)

Good. Any zipping? Like starting. Never remove the shell before. I did that on my first hatch. Poor guy, dried out. But, all other they hatch under hens and do what ever. I watch them hatch though.

NO i didn't remove shell as it was zipping. I'd never do that. I removed it after it had been hatched completely for about 10 min
