Poult, how do you train a biting flighty noisy parakeet TO SIT ON YOUR FINGER? My sis had one but he died so she got another. We think it's a girl guessing by the behavior

XD

I'm the nerd of my family. I absolutely love researching new things (provided that I like the subject it's based on). I love using long, complicated words. And, I hate the idea of being illiterate. Basically, I'm a complete nerd.
Well being a "nerd" isn't always bad.
I like to research things too. (as long as it's a subject I'm interested in).

I'd spend a ridiculous amount of time with the little one and let it bite you until it gets bored and realizes it doesn't hurt(obviously it hurts but you can't let them know that that's their way of showing dominance over you so I know it hurts but you can't let it think it's boss). It may also be so energetic from being bored if it doesn't have a lot of toys or things to chew in it will look forward to the time of day you let it out to bite and act crazy and get out all of the built up energy. They need to be able to wear themselves out and then be held. And birds bite more when inside their cages because birds are extremely territorial. You may want to clip the flight feathers as well to keep it out of trouble. And then if it's calm from all the excersise it got during the day and use to being held it should sit on your finger.

Ok thanks. It has several toys, food, water, 4 perches. We give it carrots to bite but I don't think she actually eats them. The pet store clipped her wings but not very much apparently. When she's in her cage she eats a lot. We haven't seen her drink, though.
