I think of then and than as than is used for comparing things, while then is used more for happenings. Example; in cases like 'I picked up the apple, then bit it. Example: I like apples more than oranges

X2 Thanks for pointing that stuff out, Shan! I hate when people use the wrong grammar when writing/typing things. I drive my family crazy because I'm always correcting their grammar in their writings. (But when it comes to speech, I have no right to correct anyone because I always use my own language and don't always use proper grammar! XD)
