I've worked with dogs for almost my whole life and I have never heard of a dog being allergic to meat. Do you think it might just be the preservatives and other junk some have?

Maybe. I just know we bought him a bone with meat flavoring and some other stuff and he got terribly sick

Yes that's right it was rawhide.
And no problem!! I LOVE talking about my dog!
Yeah, rawhide is just plain bad for dogs. Our friends dog actually dies from it. I NEVER give it to my dogs. Real bones, if they haven't been cooked, with raw meat on it the dogs go crazy for.
