I can't possibly think of a reason for them to take it down though...it really stinks bc I had a few people thank me profusely for starting it, and now it's gone.

ok, for all who were on the Homeschooler's thread, here's the message back from the administrator on why it was taken down:

"The problem with threads about school is that it comes too close to possible violations of BYC's policy concerning minors posting and disclosing their age. Having a thread for homeschoolers has been tried in the past and the owner and staff have shut them down.

Obviously, those being homes schooled are minors. Thus, it is a thread for minors, by definition and the staff is concerned about the safety of folks. We don't want to put a spotlight for online predators to just have a field day."

I think that makes alot of sense. Thanks again to Fred's Hens for the explanation.
