Yes, it's a good article. Feathers has been slowly molting for at least 4 months so I'm not sure what's up with her. My other 2 White Rocks were done with their molts within 6 weeks.

She doesn't have Mite or Lice, does she?

Too bad you don't live closer to me or I would pass along some hens. I do have a lot.

And I have a hen due to have chicks soon (not intentionally)! LOL

Thanks, but half-dozen hens is all I want…at this time. Mine are quite robust at treat times, if I tended yours I may be lost in the flock...

My modified chicken sweater for Feathers, a White Rock who is molting hard. It covers her chest and neck where she is literally BALD.

Poor baby..looks like her head has been pecked. Red is her color, good choice. Hope she gets some feathers soon.

Seems with all the issues of hard molts, someone might come up with a chicken balm or spray to help with protecting the delicate skin.

I lost a pullet this morning.

It was one of my Andalusian pullet's and she had taken too sleeping in the wood's which is full of owls and night Hawks.
