at chicken chick 11, yes i just added 8 rhode island reds and have a couple of other retired chickens from a couple of years back. i live on a farm and let them just wander the rest of their life out. now i can use them to train my new rhode island red peeps. planning on giving them a portable coup. tryingto decide if i should give them a small run besides laying nests and roosts , even though they will be able to free range. has anyone had any experience with this. i imagine there will be days when i may not be around and and want to give them a small area outside.
