So how do you use it on your face?

silkiecuddles, I don't actually use it on my face, myself, but people do. I just drink it. But people use it as a cleanser, a mask, for brushing teeth, and lots of other things. People will mix it with just plain water, with their regular facial cleanser, or with all kinds of things like aloe vera, honey, etc. to use as a scrub or a mask. If you look up in your browser "diatomaceous earth" or even be more specific like "diatomaceous earth for face" -- you know the drill -- you will find tons of info! And actually, thanks for the idea, because now that you mention it, I'm sure it makes a great mask, I'll have to try it now.

And there are 2 ways you can get food-grade DE. (Remember, MUST BE FOOD-GRADE!!) One is by itself, and that is a white powder. You can also get Red Lake Earth, which is DE mixed with bentonite clay. That is gray and ashy-looking, and a bit more heavy and sandy in texture. I would think the Red Lake Earth would make a great mask. I'll have to try it now that you've given me the idea. OMG, LittleBrownie, you caught me! Yeah, I got it off a card. I thought it was so adorable I couldn't resist! I feel a little guilty though. Do you think it's plagiarism to take my avatar off a card like that? Maybe I should go back to my old one, which was my cat Jaz playing in a paper bag.
