x2. Might try dusting him in DE, it gets under their exoskeletons and dries them out thus killing them (Or something like that) But you have to clean the wood of the coop too (I think) cause they live in the wood

I read on the Chicken Chick to use Sevin 5%. isnt that stuff for like gardens? and it would affect the bird?

I've read to use sevin dust in the coop, and DE on the bird. But you do need to clean out the coop. Get all the bedding out. I sprayed down my coop with ACV/bleach/water mixture when some of my birds had scaly leg mites. Good luck!
