All hens stopped...laying?? Poor turkey. If it wasn't for his leg, what was the intended butcher date?

Down to one, lonely male Pekin duck, poor buddy. He stays (and poops) on the porch now  My peafowl are getting big. I let them out to play while I feed everyone else, but because of whatever got the ducks, I can't leave them unattended. My guineas are a mess (in a good way). It's hilarious watching them because every little leaf dropping sends them flying and squawking. The laying hens aren't laying yet, but hopefully soon, as they're a little over four months now. Silkies are doing well. Their crests are so big they have trouble seeing

All but about 8, we're getting about 4 eggs a day. (Not enough for 12 people.) if his leg wasn't bad the butcher date would be late october or the middle of November (sometime before thanksgiving.) :p

Aww, that stinks. Any idea on what got them? That's good, Ah. Lol, I want guineas. Awesome, lol

Makes sense :p Happy turkey eating

Bobcat :he Guineas are great. I call them my guard dogs, because seriously, they're doing a better job then the dogs at protecting my chickens.

Well technically the turkeys were to sale soo....
Oh :hugs Yeah. Oh, lol. There are lots of people selling keets around here but I don't think we're ready for guineas yet.

Ah, well, when you are you should definitely get some. They're dang ugly but they're so helpful on so many levels

We've harvested a ton of fruits and vegetables today; loads of plums, beans, tomatoes, corn, even mint. :drool
