Mountain Peeps's Chat Thread...Continued!

We got our local pet shop to ship him in from a breeder. He was supposed to be a hen, but.. he's not.
Yeah, we don't buy from there anymore. Not after the rats and hamsters we got. They all ended up with tumours and really bad health problems. :/
Ah, okay. Yeah, I agree. You should buy from a breeder or try to adopt. Finding a breeder or a place to adopt can be surprisingly difficult though.

If I get any more rodents, they'll be from rescues. Birds would be from either a breeder or a rescue.
I don't like buying animals from big brand pet shops, because they're not treated as good as they could be. :/

Most of our hamsters from P@H also ended up with health issues.

I'm sorry. :(

Yup, I agree. Did you know that when I bought my two robo's, the guy handling them dropped the little one twice. I offered to do it for him because he was obviously nervous around them.

Wow, that's horrible! Poor hamster! :(
That's what happened with my first chicken; he kept dropping them.

He nearly ran under the shelving unit, the guy practically flattened him trying to grab him. It was difficult to watch. I feel like I've already told this story.. Sorry if I have, I've got an awful memory lol.
Poor chicken :/ Why would you choose to work with animals if you're bad at handling them?

I seriously don't understand why people work with animals if they can't even hold them properly. :/
