Mountain Peeps's Chat Thread...Continued!

So, my two Bearded D'Game Bantams roos were out yesterday free-ranging with their STANDARD-SIZED (LOL) harem of FAT (seriously, one of the hens is a 7-year-old Speckled Sussex who weighs 13 lbs!) hens next to our acre-sized frozen. Well, of course, the two glorified mongrels abruptly decide that drinking from such an unsophisticated apparatus such as the humble metal waterer is way, way beneath them and promtly wing it over to the pond. And, much to their irking, the only unfrozen spot is directly in the center of the pond...

Eventually, one very soggy Twilight flew up to his favorite spot in the overhanging oak tree and took up residence there for two hours as a
Twi-cicle, while Moonlight skated back to shore triumphantly ,with a heroic perk in his comb, over to his girls with a belly-full of refreshingly-cold ice water!

I swear, that Twilight refused to be seen in public until this morning!

I would really like a budgerigar, but I don't think it'd/they'd get along with Pookie and Darwin. :lau
