Lol! I heard that they are very messy. That is literally the only thing holding me back... I hate messes lol, but my chickens are messy and I don't hold it against them soooooooooooo maybe I should get some ducks

If you have the right set up they're not so bad.

Lol I hope to get some next spring. As I am in the middle of a move and I already have to get the chickens area set up, and my parents made me buy most of the stuff because I wanted the chickens so I had to buy them and their enclosure. They did buy the food and the did buy my newest chicks though.

Pretty much put a pool far away from the bedding, and whatever you don't want to get wet. Mine go to the same coop and everything. XD

I haven't tried this but I think it looks real nice.

I have used sheet plastic on the bottom of the brooder (out in the barn on cement) so that I can just pull it up wash it off and put back then put hay on it. I like to raise them in the spring when it's warm and I can kick them out at two weeks. (Usually with a lamp) but this batch I pulled the lamp at about three weeks.

Ok thanks! I like the idea of the plastic sheet. Having one if those for my chicks would make life soooooooooooo much easier. I never know what to do with the pine shavings though, so I walk back in the woods somewhere and dump them :/
