I have tried mint and sprays and traps, (both homemade, store-bought, and live and kill-em traps) - I guess in a perfect world we can think we got them all in what ever way works for you - but, I live on a farm so I don't kid myself into thinking I have total control of all the places on my property where the mice may be living. I like the fact that I can control the areas I have marked for other things other than mice homes, playgrounds, and all I can say now is I don't have them around my birds, bringing lice, etc. Works for me. Try anything and see what functions well for your chicken area and use it. They really are deadly with disease for your chickens. It's especially not good if the chickens are eating them.
