"Mouser" Hen

I didn't know hens would catch mice until yesterday. My alpha hen, Lucy, was under the porch and caught a little gray mouse, slammed the little guy on a stump until he was limp, and then just swallowed him whole! It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen!

Remember, chickens are just little fluffy dinosaurs (they are related to a T-Rex!).

I have also had hens fight over dead mice when I throw them into the woods (pet snake rejects). But yes, they are modern day dinosaurs. They even sound like dinosaurs sometimes! (at least TV's version)

My roo is also a mouser...its amazing to watch! Actually is a bit brutal...but its a mouse and I hate mice!!!!

We caught a mouse in a trap. I could've given that to my chickens? Mice don't carry disease? I would be worried if my chickens didn't eat all of it and the leftover parts I'd have to do something with.
