Moved 4 week old chicks to the shed. Is that safe?

I think they are punishing me with lack of sleep due to worry lol. Im out here now in the cold with them haha. They are softly chirpig prolly thinking im crazy. They are movig a little further away now but not alot.

im not a pro chicken person by any means, my second full year with chicks. I enjoyed the chicks in the house but its very messy after several weeks in that room. this year I got more chicks, wife wanted them now, lol. I told her it was still to cold, now she said, ok.

so we got 8 from tsc, pullets. bought a heat lamp and heated waterer, ran power to our old coop,4x8. plugged everything in, food and water and added chicks. I check them every morning before work at 4am and when I get home around 2-3pm. so far so good. they huddled under the lamp in the mornings. out and about in the afternoon. I was worried one night because them temp were -12*, so i added a cardboard roof and wall to keep the heat lower. they were fine. the chicks are a week old with us, add a couple days for them being at tsc and shipping. so there maybe 1.5 weeks old.

I do fear the bulb failing. here in ohio were still in the cold with snow on the ground.

Yes they appear to be giving you the eye! I think they are fine. Maybe you will sleep better tonight.
