Moved to a new coop

Aw. I just love their bl
That’s so cute! Mine are not fond of being handled 😐 I just picked this one up because he couldn’t figure out where the door was. Haha.
I hope they keep their blue eyes, but I’m not sure it it’s kinda like puppies and kittens and they turn brown as they get older. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Id love to know if yours have blue eyes too! I’ll have to check my lavenders and whites and see what their eye color is. My pearls have brown eyes like their parents.
Awww, such a pretty bunch you have!!! :love
Thanks! 😊

I have lavenders also, but I think that my only blue eyed one is bruiser, the grey pearl pied. I figured that the blue was related to his splashy pied color. I’ll have to check the keets as I haven’t been so close to them...

Let me know if you can get close enough to them and see🙂 It would be neat to see what ones have blue eyes.

Oh, and I wanted to ask about the royal purple keets spots. Is it normal that they seem to be so pearled right now? I thought royals were only partially spotted. Mine seem to have a lot more then I was expecting 🤔
As juveniles, the Royal Pearls seem to have a lot of spots because most of what you see are the wing feathers. As adults you will see more of their back feathers that don't have any dots.

Bella and Blu. They both grew to have fewer spots. 20200821_094736.jpg 20200821_095232.jpg

I was just looking through my phone and found some pics. I think that Concord (RP pied, last pic) and Bruiser (pearl grey pied, first pic) have blue eyes, but my other two grey pied females have dark eyes. It’s hard to put my finger on, but Concord and Bruiser have a different, kind of washed out look about them, as compared to the pied girls with dark eyes... I think that Concord’s base color is purple, but her purple is also washed out as compared to my solid RP birds...

I’m sure that my lavenders have dark eyes, as do my solid RP, slate, and pastel hens. I will need to look at my one lone white keet to see what eye color it has.

edit: I just enlarged a pic of pearl pied Lemon Pie (new last pic) and she has a blue eye! If I check Cherry Pie and she’s also blue eyed, then all of my pied adults will have blue eyes.

Thank you for clarifying that!
Thank you for sharing those pictures! It’s cool to see how they looked as keets compared to adults🙂

Awesome! So they might keep their blue eyes after all!
I went out and was able to get my hands on a lavender. It too has blue eyes. The whites are more timid. I’ll have to try again later to get a picture of one.

Side note: Don’t wear red nail polish around birds. They can’t help but peck at it. 😆

Ifeel like a slacker -How can I look my guineas in the eye every day and not notice? 🤦‍♀️ isn't the washed out look where the DSV comes in? It's the opposite of what it sounds like, and really means "diluted"?
