Well, Daisy the duck jumped on an unknown clutch of chicken and duck eggs today. I really wouldn't care so much, except it's about 7 feet from the road. I'm going to move her today back to her (soon to be resecure) duck area, and I'll move the eggs too in hopes she will continue to sit on them. Any advice that might help the transition?

Thanks!

Well, my hen freaked out when I moved her eggs, but one thing I learned that may help you. Take ALL her nesting material too. I did not, and she freaked out, rolling the eggs everywhere like she couldn't figure out where they belonged, or if they were hers anymore. So maybe if everything moved with her, and you lock her in so she can't go back to the old nesting site, she'd adjust alright.

Good luck with that! It's tricky to move a nest, but it sounds like it's necessary in your case.
