Moving bunny from indoors to outdoors

I'm a sucker. Here is our sweet boy. They only had two and the other was a female. I want to get him a friend. Do two boys get along well if they are neutered? I plan on getting ours neutered. Also, does his living quarters look ok? If he does well with the litter box, then he'll be an indoor bunny.

He looks fine in that setup. You shouldn't have any problems litter training him. Yes some boy bunnies will get a long fine when they are nuetered. Just beware if you move him outside, some rescues won't adopt to you if they are kept outdoors.

Whether two males can get along depends entirely on the rabbits. Neutered or not, some bucks cannot stand having another male around. I have even known an occasional doe that was such an "alpha," she couldn't be housed with another rabbit of either gender. The most likely compatible pair is, well, a pair, if both are altered, even better!

Our housebunny started out in a set-up like yours. Once he got the hang of the litter box, we started leaving the cage door open when we were around to supervise, and he would run back to the litter box to go. He loved to run around the house and be with us.

Congrats! He is adorable! What did you name him?

We caved today and bought 2 rabbits as a bday present for my daughter. Named them Birch and Willow. Aspen and Pine were shot down plus I was not about to let them be named Eight and Four. She already named her chicken Five.
