Please Read all for Context-Thanks: I moved a broody hen into a new shed/coop next to my original coop since it is getting to small but decided that she stay in the new coop for a week in advance before my other flock of 9 chickens goes in. Before I move the whole flock I have to ventilate the coop. I have been keeping the door open with wire coving it for air flow. Can a broody incubate and raise chicks with the flock if two weeks of the incubation period is with the flock. There will be 6 nesting boxes and they are the little giant nesting boxes. Tuesday will be a week in the new coop by herself. Yesterday she broke out and rain back with the flock and my dad had to catch her and put her back and she immediately went back in the nest box on her own. Will this set up work or will the other chickens destroy the nest. If you need any more information please ask need advice. Thanks in advance
