Moving chilckens

Your birds should be fine. Make sure that they travel in a well-ventilated container with food in it, and stop at least once to give them some water.

Yes, your chickens should survive the trip perfectly fine. Just make sure that you transport them in a well bedded, ventilated containter and give them water/food along the way.

They are Golden Sex Links

Golden Sex Links should handle the Midland heat fairly well as long as your coop is well ventilated and they have plenty of shade and cool, fresh water. Giving them cool treats (in the shade) on really hot sunny days like pieces of frozen watermelon will help as well. If you decide to get any more chickens however, you might want to consider getting really heat resistant breeds like Australorps or the Mediterranean Class breeds.
