Our new hen house was delivered last week but DH was at the Studebaker Nationals last week so I had to wait til he got home to get the new run put up and get the girls outside. So we worked all day Sunday and yesterday and were finally able to move my babies outside. We have two seperate coops and runs but when we feel comfortable with mingling our new ones we can open the gate between the two runs. Now that we have the two coops it should be easier to brood new chicks. I miss my babies being inside but it is so exciting to see how quickly they took to their new home. We put them in the outside pen late yesterday afternoon and had to put them in the coop at night but this morning after DH opened their door they quickly found their way out and tonight they all went in on their own. I love my chickens!!!

that's great! how old are yours? what breeds?

My new babies are 14 weeks old. Jubilee (JuJu) and LuLu are Buff Orps and Sammi is a Black Copper Marans. They are sooo sweet and stay close together in their run. My older flock is comprised of Brewster my White Leghorn roo. Harriet and Hermoine are White Leghorn Hens. Sweetie Girl is a Red Star and so sweet and friendly. We have three other Red Star hens but I don't have them named because I can't tell one from the other!

I bet your chickens are just as excited as you are! You have some great layers by the way!:D
