Moving down to garage?

My chicks are three weeks old. They've been staying in one of the bathrooms and the smell + noise is getting to almost everyone. Can we move down them down to the garage with the lamp? They have some feathers down their front, almost all on their wings, a little bit of quills on their back and legs. And will the fumes get to them? In the garage, there IS the car, after all.

I am not sure about the fumes, but with a lamp they will be ok in there.
