Moving out of brooder at 7 weeks no heat lamp?

My little chicks seem to have grown and feathered out (but who knows as this is my first flock). They haven't had the heat lamp inside for a few weeks as it has been about 75 here. The evenings are colder and they are now in their coop all together (6 of them) in one little nesting box. Do you think they will be okay? Nights are probably about 50's. Thanks!

If I do need a heater, can I put it in the coop with the shavings without worrying the shavings will catch on fire??

I am not an expert chicken owner lol, on my second brood right now. But all lived to adulthood so must be doing something right lol

IF you use a heat light make sure it is secure only because it is outside. If my math is right, chicks can handle a temp of 55-60 degrees at 7 weeks unless they are all feathered out which they might be

feathering out happens between 6-10 weeks right?

I am not sure where you live, but check under the wings. If there is still down under there, and you have temps under 55 you may need a lamp.

They'll be absolutely fine with temps. like that.

This is pretty much what I posted last week. Mine are 8 weeks and did have still have the lamp at night. They did just fine with our nights in the 40's. I was reminded that it is warmer in the coop and that with that many they will huddle together for warmth. I did take them some warm oatmeal for their first morning as real chickens.

Most 7 week olds are good to go without heat, unless it freezes.

Mine are 8 weeks and it is 22 outside right now. They are doing fine.
There is a heat lamp but they don't use it. Every night and every morning they are sitting on
the perches no where near the heat lamp.

They did fine and while they all stayed together they always are like that. Thanks for the info and advise!
