Moving out to the coop

First day out at dark they were at the run gate ready to come inside to the brooder, had to put them in the coop with a light on. Second night they were at the gate again but with a little encouragement they went in. Third night they went in on their own at dark. So I would agree no need to lock them in the coop for 3 days.

I am so happy that this ? was posted, I have 4 week old silkies that I just put out for the 1st time this morning and they are digging it. I was going to ask, about leaving them in the coop over night and not bringing them in, but I think they should be fine its supposed to get down to 34* tonight the 50+ for the rest of the week with the lowest at night going down to 45*. They have been off the lamp for over a week now so that wont be a problem.
