Moving Outside!

Not yet! I wasn't sure if it was warm enough. Any advice on field trips?
Don’t be scared! That’s my only advice!!
I was probably the most scared person on this website until I got through field trip days, turning off the heat lamp and getting through the first couple nights of them outside.

They are like our babies we have raised and we worry worry worry ourselves sick but it’ll be okay!
Just have fun, monitor and don’t stress!!

Animals adapt to their environments!!❤️🐣

The chicks have been fully off heat for a little over a week. I used an EcoGlow radiant heat plate in my basement brooder and they stopped going under it at around 4 weeks or so.
That’s awesome you shouldn’t worry so much then!! Just take them out and enjoy your fluffy babies

Update: thanks for all the advice! I waited for a stretch of days that are supposed to be mild and calm. The girls saw the direct sun for the first time and loved it!!! They took to their bigger, better home right away. ❤️
