I just signed a contract today to buy a one acre home site with my wife and two young children in the northern Houston suburbs (Montgomery county), and one of the main reasons is so we can raise chickens (or ducks, and maybe a goat or two!)!
We are so looking forward to some country livin.
I’ve been dreaming of this for a while and it’s finally happening!
I know very little and want to raise them without grain, pasture raised, the best I can.
With a blank slate, Im off to search this message board to see if there is some kind of pasture grass seed I can plant before the builder plants saint augustine!
