Well, if you are like the rest of us chicken obsessed people, build it big! While you may want to START with 3, chances are you will not end up with 3. I started with having a small flock of 4 and 1 coop. Fast forward 7 years later....50 plus, 6 coops and a barn renovated to house bantams in the winter.

WOW!!!! I totally agree we're probably gonna start with three but I could see myself having 50 no problem! As my partner looks at me with total surprised eyes!
