So we r moving to a new house that is only 10min away all through country back roads. We need to know how to move our chicken coop that is 8ft by 16ft. The coop itself is 6' 8' and the attached run is 6' 10'. We already know that we will have to detach the run. Any ideas how to get this done? Thanks!

Even if there isn't a shed company that could move it for you, you could rent a flatbed trailer from any place that rents heavy equipment for a daily fee. I don't know what equipment rental companies are in Upstate NY, but something like "United Rentals" or "Sunbelt Rentals" are pretty large rental companies and might have locations around you. Something like that.

There is a few shed company's in lake George area. Not sure where in the 'dacks you are.

Look for local excavation Co. also.

I have a pre-fab coop and probably not to0 heavy. What my friend did was get two long 2x4 and nailed them length wise to the outside with a length on all four corners to lift up and walk the coop to where I wanted it. Put them at about hand level. If you back the trailer or what ever you have to haul it with right up to it you might be able to just lift it on to the trailer etc. Leave the 2x4's. on for transfer to new site.

Seeing it's already elevated some, add 8' 4x4 runners to bottom with some large eye hooks to pull from.
back a landscape trailer up to the 6' side. And use a come a long to get it on the trailer. If you can find someone with a trailer that has a winch, bonus. Most landscape trailers 14' or longer are 6.5’ wide between the rails.

Tie it off to a tree or other solid object to get it off the trailer as you pull forward very slowly.

As you mentioned, the run would need to be removed.
