Thanks everyone for the kind words and compliments. They really do seem pretty healthy so far and I am more than happy with MPC. I am so excited about watching them grow and spending time with them.

Sooooo cute! I hope to get mine next week on Tuesday or Wednesday. Many of same breeds too. How many extras did you get?

I didn't get any extras but I was figuring I probably wouldn't. Since MPC's big thing is that they can send as little as 3 in a shipment I figured I would only get exactly what I ordered.
That's fine with me though. My husband would go off the deep end if I told him I needed another coop, lol.

How long ago did you place your order? I can't seem to find any that still have chicks available--all sold out!

I placed the order for them at the end of May I believe. It did take a while for the order to go through. I could have had them at the end of June if I hadn't ordered the EE. I knew the EE wasn't going to be available to ship until mid-July but I really wanted one so I decided to wait it out. It was worth it, she is wonderful!

Thank you! It's a wonder I have any nails left with all the cooking and cleaning and pet care. I work with customers all day and I used to be so embarrassed by my stubby nails that I just had to break down and get them done. It's hard to keep them nice though

I held my nippy little BR this morning and even though she is a little bugger running to nip me in the brooder, she was really sweet in my hands and she settled down and started to sleep like a little angel. I plan to spend my day holding them, watching them, playing outside with the silkies.....in general, I am having a chicken day!

They grow so fast it's incredible. The babies are already sprouting little wing weathers in only a few short days!

Hooterville- I just called Meyers Hatchery in Ohio today. I was told that they hatch through October. I ordered from them this spring and received very healthy chicks. I did however, pick them up because I live about 40 minutes from them.

I had to wait 6 weeks for my order from MPC, but so worth it. I got some of the same breeds you did. The biggest regret is that I DIDN'T GET MORE! It was my first time ordering and was so cautious. I ordered (and got) 9 perfect chicks, but wish I had doubled my order. They are 3 weeks old not and thriving.

I ordered my chicks a long time ago from MPC (May?) I could have had them a little sooner, but I wanted to wait until my daughter would be home so she could enjoy the fuzzy butts too!

I am so jealous - my order from MY Pet Chicken is not being shipped till July 28th. I also ordered the end of May but because I insisted on a Maran I am having to wait. I only ordered five: EE, Australorp, BR, Cuckoo Maran, and a Brown Leghorn. I wanted a rainbow color of eggs. This is my very first order ever. I am so excited I can hardly stand it.

Good luck to you. Such sweet babies.
